The Role:  Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Retail Area Manager to manage and oversee the operations of Choo Yilin omnichannel retail business.  You will assume overall responsibility for the success of the business by formulating strategic business development plan for retail and ensuring they are attained.  This role will report directly to the CEO and will be an integral part of the management team.

Ideally, the Retail Area Manager has a strategic mindset and is an excellent leader.  Having excellent financial and operations planning abilities are essentials for this role.

This role is a part time position with a commitment of 2-3 days per week and is ideal for an experienced manager looking for work-life balance.

 

Responsibilities: What to expect?

There are essentially a few components to this portfolio –

  • Provides strategic direction of all retail store operational aspects to drive sales through collaborative work with the Boutique Manager and the relevant portfolio heads within the management team.
  • Develops and implements business action plans to enhance sales for all product categories
  • Sets and communicates sales KPI's & operational goals
  • Identifies key sales & customer service strategies and setting the standards to ensure overall performance management & standards are met.
  • Drives and maximize sales performance to consistently achieve the overall sales budget objectives
  • Ensures operational efficiency across all channels
  • Manages and monitors the store’s P&L and net revenue
  • Evaluate sales performance and customer analysis using key metrics and address issues to improve them
  • Schedules regular store visits to ensure compliance in all areas of customer service & store operations.
  • Conducts regular coaching & training sessions with store team to review performance and provide constructive, timely feedback.
  • Oversees annual review role clarification process for all store employees and sets annual employee goals;

Requirements

  • Degree from any discipline, with strong language skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ work experience, with experience in leading a team preferably within a retail sales environment or similar fast paced customer service environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
